Where's Frank?

Frank and Debbie are headed to the sunny shores of San Diego for the WPBA San Diego Classic.

WPBA San Diego Classic – Schjodt Watch Match #2

April 3, 2009

Ah Debbie, she’s all about making things exciting.  In her first match, she came back from 6-1 to win 8 straight racks and take her opening round match 9-6, but in her second match she wasn’t quite so fortunate.  Debbie found herself matched up against Melissa Herndon and ended up losing a 9-8 hill-hill heartbreaker.

Next up for the tall one is the winner of the Morgan Steinman/Rachael Abbink match.  Looking ahead, if Debbie is able to win her third match, she’ll be matched up against Liz Ford, Dawn Hopkins or Ming Ng.  The winner of that match will then go up against the loser of the Jennifer Chen/Jeanette Lee match to get to the redraw.  Debbie plays at 3:15 PST today so come to the live stream and cheer her on.

WPBA San Diego Classic – Schjodt Watch Match #1

April 2, 2009

Ok, the tall lady gave us quite a scare, falling behind 6-1 to Rachel Eliazar before tearing off 8 straight racks to win 9-6.  Next up for our girl is either Melissa Herndon or Stephanie Mitchell.

Back later with more updates!

San Diego Classic Baby!

April 2, 2009

Good morning from Cali everyone!  Debbie Schjodt and I are here in Alpine, California chillin’ and doing some pre-match prep work waiting for the tall lady’s first match.

This morning, Debbie goes up against Rachel Eliazar who finished #3 in my buddy Cici Strain’s Tiger Pool Tour back in 2008.  The winner of her match will go on to face the winner of the Melissa Herndon/Stephanie Mitchell match.  It seems like forever ago when I last got to hang out with all my WPBA friends, so needless to say, I’m pretty excited to be back on tour.

In other matches we’re watchin, our little buddy Sarah Rousey is matched up against Suzanne Smith and my new friend Cristina De La Garza will be playing Ga Young Kim.

Back later with some results.

I’m Packing My Game and Headed Out West…

March 30, 2009

Its been way too long since I’ve been out on the road with Debbie, so needless to say, I’m chomping at the bit (well, I’d be chomping at the bit if I was a horse anyway) to get out to San Diego for the 2009 San Diego Classic.  Debbie’s been getting some extra training from Monica and Helena, so she should be ready to kick some butt this week.

In addition to some great pool, I’m looking forward to seeing all my pals from the WPBA.  Jasmin Ouschan, Allison Fisher, Kelly Fisher and of course my rowdy little buddy Sarah Rousey.

I’ll be updating the blog with results and if we can figure it out, I’ll see what I can do to put the WPBA live streaming matches on the blog as well.

Even More Pics from the Super Billiards Expo

March 24, 2009

See, I knew there were more pictures from my trip with Samm Diep to the Super Billiards Expo.  First off, check out how lucky I am to be hanging out with two of the most beautiful women in pool – the lovely Jennifer Barretta and Angel Paglia:

Its not always about the ladies though (even though I do love hanging out with the ladies), so Samm introduced me to some of the top Men’s players as well including Rodney Morris and the Tiger’s own Shawn Putnam:

All in all, I had an absolute blast at the 2009 Super Billiards Expo.  Hopefully next year the powers that be will get us a booth so we can start making this show an annual trip again.  For the rest of the pictures, check out our Facebook page or the Flickr photostream.

Back From The Super Billiards Expo

March 23, 2009

I am seriously beat.  That Samm girl had us running around all weekend, but we did have a blast seeing old friends and meeting some new ones.  First off was a stop at the Poison booth to visit with my pal Cristina De La Garza:

She’s so nice to me.  No rest for the weary though, as our next stop was at the Mezz booth to say hi to Sarah Rousey, Caroline Pao and Amateur champ Ming Ng:

I always like seeing my little buddy Sarah and meeting Caroline and Ming was a blast.  From there, it was on to see this year’s champions Mr. 400 John Schmidt and Allison Fisher:

I’m heading back to Atlanta to recuperate for a few days, then I hop back on a plane with the tall lady to hit the WPBA San Diego Classic.  If you want to see all the pictures, just head over to the Facebook page or check out the photos on Flickr.
